Les Jeunes comme Levier du Développement Inclusif du Maroc

RESULTS ACHIEVED: 4 new Community-Based Inclusive Development programs started in the city of Biougra, Settat, Tangier and Berkane, thanks to which 71 girls and boys were involved who were able to follow 606 families at home. 29 training documents relating to the theme of disability have been included in the Facebook group that bears the name of the project: “Les jeunes comme levier du développement inclusif du Maroc”. Thanks to the constant support of the sector associations, 7 inclusive local development initiatives have been financed in the Casablanca Settat, Souss Massa and Orientale regions.
With regard to awareness and advocacy activities, 8 events to raise awareness of the general public on the issue of disability were organized, 1 short film was produced by high school students in the province of Berrechid entitled "Loin du Regard", and 10 sessions were organized work (plus a whatsapp meeting and 2 validation workshops) of the Reflection Group "Think Tank - Disability, Gender and Exclusion", which allowed the creation of 3 memoranda to promote the situation of children with disabilities living in institutions, women with disabilities and women caregivers of people with disabilities.

RESULTS ACHIEVED: Awareness of the issue of disability and respect for the other 25 young people from the Ibn Bassem middle school in Rabat through the organization of training sessions and debates and the production of the short film "Il Violino". The short was then presented at the 14th edition of the Rabat Handifilm Festival in the “Panorama” section.

RESULTS ACHIEVED: Improved the capacities of local associations in terms of advocacy, development and monitoring of local public policies based on a national strategy to address the issue of disability. A DPO movement started as a credible interlocutor with local and regional political authorities. Training of DPO members and local actors on the rights of people with disabilities, monitoring of local public policies and inclusive local development.

RESULTS ACHIEVED: An Integrated Service of Temara has been launched at SAFIR, including Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Psychomotor, Special Education, production and prescription of simple orthopedic aids. Capillary presentation of the new service launched in the territory. Extension of SIBC activities from the municipality of Ain Al Aouda to the city of Temara to ensure the home follow-up of the rehabilitation programs carried out at the SAFIR Integrated Service. Presentation to the Regional Authorities of a multidisciplinary model (new SAFIR Integrated Service-SAFIR Orientation Service-SIBC program), created in collaboration with the Scientific Institute IRCCS E. Medea of the La Nostra Famiglia Association.

RESULTS ACHIEVED: Enhancement of the "SAFIR" Integrated Multidisciplinary Service in Temara and SIBC activities in the city of Temara to ensure home follow-up of the rehabilitation programs carried out at the SAFIR Integrated Service. Strengthening of the intervention in favor of children with disabilities at the Le Nid Orphanage of Fondazioen Rita Zniber -Meknes. Awareness raising activities in the area on the global approach to disability.
