GOAL
- Promote inclusion through play: The primary objective is to promote the integration of children with hearing disabilities, avoiding isolation and marginalization and, at the same time, contributing to the construction of a solid and positive personal identity through the game.
- Using the game as an educational tool: The game plays an important role as a vehicle for educational content and as a facilitator in relationships between the deaf child, peers and adults, contributing to their cognitive and social development.
- Training expert operators on deafness and gaming: Another key point is the specialization of operators so that they are able to face the challenges related to deafness and offer suitable and inclusive gaming experiences. This commitment includes the guarantee of continuous training.
- Supporting families in promoting play: OVCI offers support to families throughout the entire growth process of their children with hearing disabilities, promoting the value of play as a development tool.
BENEFICIARIES
30 children with hearing disabilities and their families and/or caregivers and the community they belong to (about 240 people)
