SUDAN - EDUCATIONAL COMMITMENT
GOAL
Contribute to strengthen the rights to health, education and dignified life of the most vulnerable women, girls and kids in the peripheral areas of Khartoum
BENEFICIARIES
- 300 health workers, including 180 women
- 6400 pregnant and postnatal women who receive assistance through awareness-raising services and campaigns
- 25,250 underage patients visited, of which 12,000 girls and 2% of them with disabilities
- 800 minor patients with early diagnosis of disability over three years
- 113 children with disabilities in the primary schools involved, of which 65 were boys and 48 were girls
- 10 children with disabilities in the Dar El Salam Preschool
- 10 children with disabilities in the Preschool in Jabel Aulia
For a total of 133 children
- 120 children with disabilities, including 84 girls and 36 boys at the Maygoma orphanages, Dar El Mustakbal.
- 60 teachers receive specific training on disability and inclusive education, including 48 women and 12 men
- 63 volunteer CBID promoters of which 30 for orphanages and 33 in communities, 50 women and 13 men.
- 60 students of the VTC with a proportion of 50% between women and men
- 10 women from the Physical Disability Challenger association
- 15 teachers of the VTC including 7 women
- 5 executives of the USADC association including 3 women
MAIN ACTIVITIES
1) The network of basic health services increases accessibility for the most vulnerable women and their children and spreads knowledge of the Family Health Approach for professionals in the areas of Dar El Salam city of Omdurman, Assafa locality in the city of Khartoum.

2) Children with disabilities, who attend school and those housed in orphanages, are included in the special training courses and receive support and support in the extra-curricular time from operators trained thanks to the application of the education model of Community Based Inclusive Development
